Privacy Policy — SubKiller

Local-First No Ad Tracking No Third-Party SDKs Effective: January 1, 2025

    Our Core Promise: SubKiller is a local-first app. Your subscription data, spending records, and usage habits are stored only on your device (or synced to your private iCloud account with your explicit permission). We do not collect, upload, or sell any personal data.

🚫What We Never Collect

Personal identity information (name, phone, email, etc.)
Location data
Device identifiers (IDFA, advertising ID, etc.)
Behavioral analytics, click-stream, or usage logs
Contacts, calendar, or data from other apps
Any data via third-party advertising or analytics SDKs

📱Screen Time (DeviceActivity)

The Usage Insight feature uses Apple's DeviceActivity framework to read app usage duration. This requires you to grant Screen Time permission.

All Screen Time data is processed locally on your device via App Group shared storage between the app and its system extension
We only read app display names and usage minutes — never app content
This data is never transmitted to any server
You can revoke permission at any time in Settings; the app will stop reading immediately

☁️iCloud Sync (Pro only)

Pro users may enable iCloud Sync. When enabled, your subscription data is synced via Apple CloudKit across devices signed in with the same Apple ID.

Data is stored in your personal CloudKit Private Database — we have no access to it
Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy
You can manage or delete app data in Settings → Apple ID → iCloud at any time

🔍OCR Magic Scanner

OCR uses Apple's on-device Vision framework. Recognition happens entirely on your device.

Images are processed in memory only and released immediately after recognition — never persisted
No image or recognition result is sent to any server or third party
You can revoke Camera / Photos access in Settings at any time

🔔Local Notifications

SubKiller uses Apple's UNUserNotificationCenter to deliver billing reminders. Notification content is generated entirely on-device and does not pass through any push notification server or contain tracking parameters.

You can disable notifications in Settings → Notifications, or adjust them within the app.

🔌Third-Party SDKs & Services

SubKiller does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

All frameworks used are Apple native system frameworks (SwiftData, SwiftUI, Vision, DeviceActivity, FamilyControls, CloudKit, UserNotifications). Their data handling is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

👶Children's Privacy

SubKiller is designed for users aged 17 and older and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

🗑️Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time by:

In-app: Profile → Danger Zone → Clear All Data
Uninstalling the app (removes all local SwiftData on-device storage)
If iCloud Sync is enabled: Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → delete SubKiller data

📝Policy Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you prominently within the app and update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
