FAQ

Where does my data live? Can I lose it?

Everything is stored in a local SwiftData database on your phone. Uninstalling the app deletes it. I recommend periodically exporting a JSON backup via Settings → Data → Export.

The AI won't work

Check:

• Your API key in Settings → AI Configuration
• Whether your AI provider account is out of credits or expired
• Whether the network can reach the provider endpoint

WealthSnap only forwards your request to the provider you configured. We can't see or intervene.

My data was reset after an update

This can happen in rare cases when the underlying database schema changes. Export a JSON backup periodically once you've settled into using the app.

How do I switch language?

Settings → Language → Opens system settings → WealthSnap → Preferred Language → pick English or 中文.

Family sharing / multi-device sync?

Not supported. The design principle is "local-first — data never leaves your phone." For moving to a new device: Settings → Data → Export a JSON, then Import on the new device.
